A rainy day with a cup of coffee (or tea),
Bliss and an art it is truly,
The soft patters to the harsh thuds,
From small ponds to ghastly floods.
I must say my dear Rain,
You truly wash away my pain,
You’re like a wave of resurrection,
Softly kissing my face with affection.
Sometimes you seem scary,
Sometimes you’re like a fairy,
Dark and loud, harsh sounds,
Soft and sweet, around but not around.
Dear rain, you are an art,
The rainbows you create are also art,
The puddles you create for little boats,
The way those children let them float.
Dear rain, my lifeline,
You truly are a gift, we aren’t deserving,
You’re truly worth appreciating,
Small puddles to flowing rivers,
It’s all your dearest creations of art…
