How to Train your Temper?!?

After posting the article about violence “Violence, the bigger issue???’ Which was about a pretty serious Topic, I got a suggestion from one of the readers saying that I should write about Temper Management. And then I thought “okay, let me split this into two categories, Temper Management in Children and Temper Management in Adults”. So here is what my interpretation of Temper Management is.

TEMPER MANAGEMENT IN CHILDREN

In this section I am going to give you a few suggestions to keep your Temper under control, if you have a short fuse. Let’s look at the first Category If you are someone who gets violent with your Temper, then I would suggest lock yourself in your room and then once it’s subsided slowly clean up your own room. There are many ways that we tend to feel our Temper flare up, for example, losing continuously while gaming, getting yelled at by a parent or both, when others are nasty towards us, Hunger, or PMS. The ways to “Detemperize” (please don’t laugh, just coined a new term) are sometimes to listen to some music, or do whatever makes you feel calm or relaxed, like sometimes people like to draw or sing and dance to release their temper. Sometimes our Parents might be the reason for our Anger but in the end they will be the people who will comfort us, they will cuddle us until we finally give in to their cuddling. Another easy and very tasty solution to releasing your Temper is CHOCOLATE!!!!

TEMPER MANAGEMENT IN ADULTS

Sometimes parents get stressed after a long day of work which will cause their temper to flare up and that results in the child getting screamed at or scolded and then both the child and the parent will feel guilty. Sometimes a solution for your temper to go down is when your Temper is up and high your emotions will be all haywire so it will be difficult for you to think properly, so what you need to do is think outside the storm then you will be able to see the whole issue so you can easily find a way to get over it. Another thing which you guys can do is just close your eyes and think about your past, your childhood, fun times with your close friends, and fun times with your kid(s). It might help you to calm down and relax your mind. Also if you are a big fan of Sugarcane juice or Tender coconut water then feel free to buy some and casually sip it while relaxing in your car.

We must always look at the Bright Side of the world not always at the Damp and Dismal Side. All of us have a dragon called Temper inside us and we all must learn as to How To Train Our Temper, see you soon…..

Profound thoughts put in a capsule Mahima, for both children and adults to practice.

Taking time out and pampering oneself with small things is really a wonderful thing to do for adults!

Best wishes 💐

Short and sweet. I liked the chocolates, sugarcane juice and tender coconut. After one cools down and analyse the reason for the temper it is nothing. Only we make a mountain out of a Molehill. In younger age itself if we can control the temper it is always helpful in the long run. Great Mahima. Nanni is so happy reading your articles.

Good one Mahima. I usually do some physical activity when in temper and have found that it always helps.
