Should I have stayed a child?
Innocent and oblivious to the harsh world,
Calm and relaxed and in our own bubbles.
When I was small and chaotic,
I never truly realized that I would have to tackle a world as I grow older,
My head decides to fall back to the books.
Kindergarten and the lower grades were a fine escapade,
Studying as children felt easy,
And we all thought it would be the same throughout,
Now a lot of us are just praying to go back to the lower grades.
A million holidays or awards can never replace the bliss we feel as children,
Running around, jumping through muddy pools of water, cycling with friends.
But then again, too much of something is good for nothing,
Too much laziness spoils the body.
Too much happiness angers the haters.
Though it doesn’t hurt to wish or dream,
That we could probably run and scream,
With glee and happiness.
Without a care of the world,
It never waits,
It is our choice whether,
To slow down or keep up….
Very well written. Keep it up
you nailed it here!
Yes Mahima, I agree - even now I wish I could get back to my school days, the care free days. Nicely written, good show
Loved it! 💕
