The day I was born,

You were the first face that I saw.

You had tears in your hazel-brown eyes,

For the treasure of your heart was in your hands.

16 years of happiness, sadness, fun & frolic,

All with you by my side.

Nothing can ever make up for you sacrificing so much,

So that I could have a good life.

When you cry I’ll be there to hold you,

When you laugh I’ll be there to laugh with you.

In these 16 years, you have taught me so much,

Such as tyres, farming and I thank you for that.

My life would be a rudderless boat without you,

For you are the one who will guide me to the path of success.

A lamp is what you are,

Burning to light the way ahead,

This time,

We will reciprocate the love you have and will always give us…
