This is a letter to those who are on the threshold of turning 18…
Hey everyone!
It’s Mahima here,
I am a human who is here to tell you what it feels like to turn 18 and what follows along with it, read on to feel what I felt…
You are standing at the edge of a phase,
Eagerly waiting for the swift approaching days,
Of being a fully grown and mature human,
To open the doors to a new garden ready to bloom in.
Yes, that was what I faced mere days ago,
When the day of my birth arrived, I was aglow,
That I had finally reached 18 years of living,
It was now time for a new cup to begin brimming.
The seeds of your efforts shall soon bloom,
Do not let yourself fall into despair or gloom,
Keep smiling and mesmerizing everyone,
Spread your shining happiness and fun.
The changes that become clear start small,
All so that we shall never stumble or fall,
As only by walking can we begin to run,
How else will we maintain our charm of fun?
The feeling is like you’re standing at the end of a page,
Just waiting to jump into the next,
All forms of negativity shall be pushed away,
As you leap into the warm embrace of a new day.
Smiles, Fun and merriment always prevail,
It’s time’s life which shall continue like a fairy tale,
Except now, the decisions lie in our own palms,
So put away your qualms.
Life after 18 changes for the better,
My dear readers, heed this letter,
Stay cool, stay happy and stay jolly,
Life after 18 shall be a cracker less Diwali.
